a Sterling Institute Course
Intended audience: Tenured managers who have been in the job for at least six months
Participants will:
- Recognize factors that help and hinder high performance
- Identify the impact of performance management practices on performance and motivation
- Motivate different individuals by applying compatible management strategies and styles
- Create a high-performance work environment that supports the development of an effective team
- Increase effectiveness in providing written and verbal feedback
- Identify the motivational needs of their district members and apply specific strategies to improve performance by meeting those needs
- Deal effectively with difficult people in their district
- Recognize the barriers to implementing change
- Address critical performance issues that are affecting district performance
- Develop and implement individual and district-wide performance improvement plans
