 How to Motivate Employees from Different Generations
Intended audience: New and tenured managers
Participants will:
- Explore the common characteristics of each working generation, and apply these characteristics to behaviors seen in the team
- Practice methods of communicating that will enhance relationships with members of different generations
- Investigate the potential impact of generational differences on employee/customer relationships
- Identify areas where biases, stereotypes, or prejudices about other generations may affect a manager’s ability to manage and motivate
- Identify the strengths of the different generations and develop an action plan for motivating team members according to those strengths
- Develop strategies for reducing conflicts and challenges among team members of different generations
