Description: Great leaders inspire us to take action, clearly communicate their vision and build trust with the people in the organization who make things happen. There is no "one size fits all" when it comes to leadership, rather, each of us uses our own individual talents to create a style that works for us and gives us the authenticity to lead others.

Objectives: Using the SRG TalentProfilerTM, participants will create a customized leadership vision by identifying the unique talents that allow them to:

  • Inspire others to take action
  • Communicate and explain their vision
  • Build trust with key people in the organization

The Assessment also uncovers:

  • Their dominant motivational drivers
  • Keys to understanding the kind of environment where they can have the most impact

Objectives for Sales Managers: Using the results of the SRG TalentProfilerâ„¢ for their team, sales managers will:

  • Discuss the critical role the sales manager plays in the success of the individual sales representative.
  • Assess the knowledge, skills, signature themes, talents, and strengths of each member of their sales team
  • Explore how each sales person's top talents apply to the key job activities of the sales role in their organization.
  • Learn how to set expectations for specific goals, required performance activities and desired behaviors in their organization.
  • Discover ways that their expectations of each team member's job performance either mesh or conflict with their sales representative's expectations.
  • Determine the ideal management style for each of their direct reports
  • Determine what motivates each member of their team and how to leverage those motivators for optimal individual and team performance. 
  • Build an action plan to coach each sales rep through their sales process based on his/her top talents.
  • Use this action plan to help reps take customers from "satisfied" to "attached."
  • Put together a list of best demonstrated practices to help representatives manage their weaknesses.
  • Gain a better understanding of why they work so well with some of their representatives and face challenges with others.
  • Learn how to leverage the individual talents of each sales rep to create a stronger and more effective team.
  • Leave the program with a list of ideas for how to provide meaningful feedback to each rep based on their top talents. 
  • Demonstrate the use of a five-step coaching model to practice delivering constructive feedback, both positive and negative through practical exercises such as video taped role-play.
  • Successfully address the particular challenges involved in managing remote employees.
  • Develop a strengths focused motivational plan for two of their top salespeople that they can implement immediately.

Target Audience: Current and aspiring leaders

Format/Venue: A 1/2 to one day group program followed by individual coaching, or no group setting, just individual one–on–one coaching.
