  • Generations Apart:  How to Motivate Employees from Different Generations                                                                     (Also available, "How to Manage and Motivate Sales Professionals of Different Generations")

Why is it often challenging to motivate and manage people who are either younger or older than you? This workshop examines the cultural factors and influences that make each human generation different from the next. We explore commonalities, differences and stereotypes that affect the way that sales teams from different generations work together to give participants an increased understanding of what motivates people in the workplace. Group discussions and interactive exercises help participants gain skills in managing and motivating both older and younger employees.

  • Selling to Physicians of Different Generations

Different generations have different goals, ways of expressing themselves and cultural touchstones. How does a salesperson from one generation relate to a physician from another? There can be special challenges when the salesperson is significantly older or younger than the physician. This workshop examines the cultural factors and influences that make each generation different from the next, and gives participants an increased understanding of what motivates or alienates people of different generations. Group discussions and exercises help participants gain skills in managing and motivating both older and younger employees.

  • Wake Me When It’s Over: Generation Y in the Classroom

Academic research shows that traditional methods of corporate training are increasingly out of step with the emerging generations.  Linear, lecture-based learning that is very effective with Baby Boomers may be perceived as an anachronism by younger workers who grew up with engaged group learning and critical thinking techniques that allowed them to be in control of their own learning processes.  In this workshop, we challenge the traditional approach to workshop design and look at some fun and creative techniques that engage younger employees in the classroom.
